Come to the UPVD as an invited researcher
Are you a teacher, teacher-researcher or researcher with a desire to teach or work in a UPVD laboratory? You can be invited by a colleague of the UPVD.Administrative procedures
In order to be able to stay in France, you must obtain a scientific visa issued by the French Consulate in your country of residence.
- For a stay of less than one month: a letter of invitation from the host laboratory or faculty is sufficient.
- For a stay of more than one month: a hosting agreement is required. This will be sent to you by post by the host laboratory/faculty after signature by the President of the UPVD and the Prefecture of Pyrénées-Orientales.
You will have to go to the Foreign Students Reception Office (Building A - central school), in order to apply for a scientific residence permit. There are offices of the Prefecture and the Office of Immigration and Integration (OFII).

If you are a teacher or a teacher-researcher in a European partner university, signatory of an Erasmus + cooperation agreement and you wish to spend a stay at the UPVD, you should contact the department in charge of international relations of your institution.
They will tell you how to apply for Erasmus+ mobility grants.
At the end of your exchange program, before your departure from the University of Perpignan Via Domitia, you will have to go to the International Relations Service (SRI), to have your study abroad certificate signed by the Erasmus+ UPVD institutional coordinator.
The UPVD also participates in the Erasmus+ action "International Credit Mobility", which finances exchange programs with partner universities in the following countries starting from the 2019/2020 academic year:
