Twelve years ago the UPVD was one of the first universities in France to establish a university foundation, in accordance with the law on the freedoms and responsibilities of universities.

Created in 2008, the Foundation of the University of Perpignan Via Domitia fosters synergies between the university and socio-economic actors to contribute to the development and influence of the university, and to thus participate in the development and attractiveness of the territory..

As a privileged interface between academic and socio-economic circles, its mission is to strengthen professional integration, support research and the dissemination of scientific culture, promote the quality of training and to foster innovation through actions of general interest and high added value.

By mobilizing the funds collected from its members, the UPVD Foundation contributes to creating the conditions for success and economic opportunities of tomorrow. Its donors are companies, institutions, local authorities but also individuals wishing to commit themselves to the development and influence of the territory.

Thanks to its patrons, the UPVD Foundation supports actions of general interest such as:
  • The funding of UPVD research projects and the creation of thematic chairs, real innovation programs addressing the social, societal or scientific issues that confront a broad range of people. Since the creation of the Foundation in 2008, nine patronage chairs have been created.
  • The financing of the Hotel d'Incubation d'Entreprises Innovantes, UPVD IN CUBE
  • The development of the UPVD Alumni network, the professional network of UPVD students and graduates
  • The pedagogical and financial support of high-level student athletes, one of the UPVD Foundation’s oldest programs
  • Supporting students with disabilities with the Run my UPVD sports and solidarity action
  • Support for students in precarious situations, particularly in the event of a health crisis
  • The organization of the graduation ceremony of UPVD doctors
  • Encouraging international student mobility with grants for a semester of study abroad.
