The University of Perpignan’s Centre Universitaire d'Etudes Françaises (University Centre for French studies) offers a range of different course types for discovering French culture and learning the language:

  • Theme-based courses
  • Teacher training courses – learning how to teach French as a foreign language
  • Summer language courses
  • Semester- or year-long French courses
  • Provision of tests to ascertain students' proficiency and knowledge of French:
    • French language test (TCF), French language test for people applying for French nationality, French language test for the general public
    • French assessment test, French assessment test for people wishing to settle in Québec
  • University and National diplomas: from level A1 to level C2 (as defined by the Common European Reference Framework for Languages)
    • University Diplomas in French Language
    • Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française (French language study diploma)
    • Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies en Langue Française (advanced French language study diploma)
    • Paris Chamber of Commerce examinations
The University Centre for French studies has been awarded the "French as a Foreign Language Quality" label by the French Ministry for Education and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and French Culture.
